My works are best described as constructs of people and place and the inevitability of degradation upon the systems of our own corporeal nature. More recently, this common theme of my work has been applied to the wide-open spaces of west Texas and the nature of the elements that play upon the horizon. I proceed with my work in a variety of media, each offering its own advantages. Even though I often begin with a sketch of the observable world, the final work becomes a fiction open to interpretation. The sparse landscapes, echoed by the many shades of sky, complement my philosophical concept of an infinite meridian, a place where the temporal breaks down to become something beyond what we see.
